While I was at the Green Country Quilt Guild show, I had a chance to stop by and visit the ladies in the Quilts of Valor booth. These talented ladies are part of a group that volunteers their time and talent making quilts for the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. If you would like to know more about Quilts of Valor and how you can help, visit the Quilts of Valor  Tulsa  web site. You can also get information at any of the local quilt shops.

The 2014 Quilt Show

Best Machine Quilting

Best of Show and Best Machine Quilting Winner at Green Country Quilt Guild – www.marycoveydesigns.com

The biannual quilt show put on by the Green Country Quilt Guild is coming up on June 6th and 7th, 2014. It is a judged show that features the talents of many area quilters. Pictured above is the Best of Show winner from the last show. The quilt was beautifully pieced by Elsie Ridgley. It is clear to see why she won a blue ribbon. The quilt was custom quilted by me and I also won a ribbon for Best Machine Quilting. I was honored that she allowed me to quilt the quilt.

There are so many wonderful quilts entered every two years in this show that I can’t wait to see what happens this year. There is so much to see and do at the show, you won’t want to miss the fun. Visit the Green Country Quilt Guild website for more information. Enjoy the show. I hope to see you there.
