About Us
A self-starting entrepreneur and owner of a successful quilting company, Mary M. Covey is an award-winning quilter whose favorite part of the process is design.
Mary has always loved sewing and fabric. After taking a quilting class at her local fabric store, Mary fell in love with quilting. She started teaching quilting in 1980. Over the years, she has taught classes for all types of audiences including fabric stores, quilt guilds, trade shows, quilt markets, and has been a featured presenter on several quilting cruises.
Mary is the author of eight books including: "Follow the Line” – Volumes One through Four, "Sew Easy SnowBalls”, "Celebrations”, "A Snowman’s Family Album”, and "Appliqué Through the House”. She also the designer of several collections of fabric with P&B Textiles including "All About Me” and "Watercolor Etchings”.
Mary’s work has been featured in numerous publications and on several television programs, including Quilt Central. Her articles and patterns along with photos of her quilts have been featured in more than twenty magazines, including American Patchwork and Quilting and McCall’s Quilting. Mary is also a professional long arm quilter for designers such as Piece of Cake and Hollyhock Quilts.
